Benedicta Ward

Benedicta Ward is a member of the Community of the Sisters of the Love of God, an Anglican community whose mother house is in Oxford, England. She is a teaching member of the theology faculty and Reader in the History of Christian Spirituality at the University of Oxford. Sr. Benedicta is the author of many books on medieval topics and has also translated, among other early monastic texts, The Sayings of the Desert Fathers and The Wisdom of the Desert Fathers.

Benedicta Ward contributed a fascinating foreword to the book In the Heart of the Desert, Revised: The Spirituality of the Desert Fathers and Mothers by John Chryssavgis.
